The annual Ed Posh Scholarship Shootout (Golf & Dinner event) took place under beautiful weather conditions on July 18, 2014 at the Village Golf Course in Glen Ellyn. 130 golfers competed in the golf scramble for the coveted POSH CUP, which was won by the HORVATH 4-SOME (Steve Horvath, Michael Radeck, Dennis Bray and Matt McCormick), the Doug Samuels 4-some came in second. The 1st place for the mixed men and ladies division went to Pat Leston, Kris Leston, Debbie Burzynski and Bill Burzynski.
The $ 1,000 prize for the annual shootout--with a total of 16 qualified golfers competing on the 18th hole during the evening events--was won by Butch Trompeter, congratulations Butch. The putting contest was won by Frank Rosch. Congratulations to all the winners and the many who tried!
The evening events with over 200 dinner guests proceeded with a gourmet dinner prepared by the staff of the Reserve 22 at the Links, live and silent auctions & DJ entertainment. Our guests enjoyed a beautiful summer evening. Our 2014 new scholars were introduced during the lunch time!
Our participating patrons, donors, sponsors, local businesses and their generosity and contributions made it possible for us to meet our 2014 financial fundraising objectives and to raise the necessary funds for the 2014 scholarships. THANK YOU!
