Apply for the Ed Posh Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

The Ed Posh Scholarship is a local scholarship honoring the legacy of Ed Posh, who lived and worked in Glen Ellyn for most of his adult life and whose 13 children attended Glen Ellyn schools.

Applicants must have a local connection to Glen Ellyn by meeting at least one of the following:

1. 1. Live within the Glenbard Township High School District 87 attendance area
2. 2. Currently work in Glen Ellyn or have a parent who currently works in Glen Ellyn
3. 3. Families with a strong connection to Glen Ellyn, the Village Links or the Ed Posh Scholarship Fund

Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement, involvement in activities and community service, strong character, and financial need.

In addition to the application form, you must include:

• High school transcript and the official notification of all ACT and/or SAT test results
• Three letters of recommendation from teachers, administrators, employers or friends
• An essay of 500 words or less explaining your goals for continuing education
• Completed financial data form included with this application

We plan to have the Ed Posh Scholarship submitted online this year. We hope to have it available by the middle or end of November. In the unlikely event that we are not able to successfully get it online, we will contact counselors and have that information on the Ed Posh Scholarship website https://www.edposhscholarship.com.

Final submission date is January 15, 2027.
